2024: NOV 4 - NOV 10

 

+ ELECTION 2024  🇺🇸

jared + i tried to vote early a couple times, but the lines were ridiculous. we arrived at the polling place promptly at 6am on voting day, and a short line had already formed. we were in + out in 45 minutes. we took both kids* with us, and june slept the entire time. jackson thought it was so fun to go with us, so we celebrated afterward with coffee + pastries. 

there was not a lot of sleep to be had that night (newborn life + election night). but when i woke up at 2am to see that trump was the 47th president, i woke jared up + we both were so elated! wednesday morning was extra sweet as we sat on the couch + sipped our coffee while we watched the news.

i ordered this purse off amazon as a gift to myself for giving birth, lol. it is the cutest! i like that it has several pockets, but it's not bulky at all. 

+  SWIG COOKIE  ❤️

swig came out with their chocolate crinkle peppermint cookie + it is quite possibly the best christmas cookie out there. 

+  POSTPARTUM, WEEK 3  🤱

my creativity returned this week after being nonexistent for the better part of my pregnancy. my physical healing was much better this week. i can put clothes on by myself now. i remember how vulnerable i felt when jared was helping me put my pants on. my body felt so broken + battered, but he never complained, not once. he held me in the hospital bathroom as i cried from the pain. 

breastfeeding is going well. i am getting the hang of it more + june is doing well.
