the days are long, but the years are short.
and just like that -- another year has come + gone. seemingly in the blink of an eye.
i am coming into 2026 with fresh ideas + big goals. this is huge year for me because i have a Very Big Birthday. an age that— when i was in my teens, seemed old. now that i am mere months away from that number, it is not even close to what i would consider old.
this year, i turn 40.
i had big feelings about it the first week of january. and now that i have my goals set + a new perspective, i see that celebrating another birthday on this earth is a gift. i want to embrace it with open arms.
without further ado, here are my goals for 2026:
F A I T H
our family experienced a true, amazing miracle in 2024-- after five unexplained miscarriages, i carried a pregnancy to term + birthed a beautiful baby girl! the entire journey was marked with faith that didn't listen to what science or doctors or others had to say. we stepped out in faith + experienced a true, living breathing miracle.
what people don't talk about after experiencing such an incredible miracle is how life is still life after the miracle comes. june did not sleep through the night for the first year. i breastfed her while also being a working mom. there were sacrifices + sleepless nights + i'm sorry i snapped at you + thank you for helping me out + times i had to say no + moments where i was sure the lack of sleep would do me in.
but all the while, i was reminded of the Lord's faithfulness. He is always, always with us. with me in those small moments where all i can utter is Jesus, help. He is faithful to provide, because He has all i need.
so as i look forward to 2026, i know that the Lord will be faithful.
He will be good.
because He knows no other way to be.

my prayer for 2026 is that we settle more into our rhythms + really work on our family culture. we have a good routine down now, but as always, that can change with the seasons. jared + i have started to become more intentional with our time with jackson. he is such a good big brother, and i want to make sure he has one-on-one time with each of us. june is growing + learning each day, and i just want to savor this age because i know for a fact it will fly by!
• have intentional one-on-one time with jackson
• read to june a lot
• create a family culture
• make our new house into a home

last year, i was so focused on breastfeeding that any sort of wellness goal was not going to happen. this is the year i get my pink back! there is not necessarily an end-goal, but more of a changed lifestyle. an 80/20 focus.
• lose weight
• walk 7k - 10k steps four times a week
• develop a short skincare routine
• go to the dentist
• celebrate 40!
