i took the day off work + we ventured out to the kansas state fair in hutch. it was such a fun day!
the last time i went to the state fair, it was . . . not great. i was three months postpartum with jackson + i was a mess. anxiety plagued me the entire time we were there + i could not enjoy myself at all.
thankfully this time was the polar opposite. i had so much fun! even though it was 97º by the time we left the fair. it was so dang hot.
my favorite treat was the fried cookie dough. OH MY GOSH. it was a delight!
i had fresh-squeezed lemonade that hit the spot on such a hot day.
the chicken taco i ate for lunch was good as well.
we ended our day with pineapple dole whip and what a treat!
we promptly came home, showered, + plopped on the couch for an hour because we were exhausted from the day. but it was so fun + i can't wait to go again next year!
