2024: AUGUST 19 - AUGUST 25

 

- BOOKS + READING 📚

i set a goal of 30 books to read for 2024. so far, i have read NINE. goodreads tells me i’m 10 books behind schedule. i have let go of the frustration + disappointment because this season does not lend itself to that particular goal. when i set my yearly goals, i had no idea i would be pregnant a month into the new year. i’m counting my blessings + know my reading hobby will eventually pick back up. 

- 31 WEEKS 🤰🏼

i found my baby shower dress this weekend! the boys + i went shopping + i was already done by the first store. we went to marshall's next + i had zero hope of finding something. to my surprise, i saw a dress that was the color i’d wanted, but it was slightly big. after trying it on, i decided it would work. as we were walking to the baby section, i noticed someone had put the same dress on a random rack + it was the size i needed! i squealed with delight + silently thanked the Lord because there was no way i could walk around more stores after that. 😂
