we randomly came across this airBNB in humboldt, kansas. it’s located just two hours from wichita + every review we read was positive + convinced us to book a short weekend stay.
this was our last trip as a family of three 🥹
we also wanted to take a trip before jackson starts homeschool next week! (how is he already a second grader?!)
fun things i want to remember from the trip:
- the airbnb is a tiny cabin + jackson took the loft + made it his space. he was so happy!
- the tiny cabins are all situated around a pond + it was 10/10 vibes. ✨
- i read worst case scenario all weekend. tj newman is an auto-read author for me, so this was perfect timing that my library hold came in just in time for the trip!
- dinner on thursday night was at cozy’s grindhouse, where i had the absolute best cheeseburger of my life. i will dream about that burger for months to come.
- eight months pregnant 🤰🏼
- we had brunch at the honeybee bruncherie, which was at the top of every must-visit list for humboldt. it was so dang good! their lavender lemonade + orange-infused butter were the big standouts.
- the local coffee shop - octagon city - was cute!
- as we headed out of town, we stopped in a nearby city for an early lunch. the coffee shop/cafe was called wild bloom coffee! their chicken salad sandwich was top tier 🌸☕️
this trip was so much fun for a last-minute plan! we can’t wait to go back.
