- this was the last week of my thirties! i had a 4-day weekend celebration filled with all my favorite things: family, food, + coffee. here's to a new decade 💜
- one of our current favorite meals is a variation of this korean beef bowl. i actually modify it quite a bit, but it still tastes really good!
- i finished volume 8 of the emma m. lion series! i am going to need the next 13 volumes like NOW. i had the idea to do a re-read during the coming winter season, but this time, i want the physical copies of the books.
- we made a short day trip down to oklahoma to celebrate my 40th with my family on saturday. it was just what i needed on my birthday weekend! my parents + my brother mean so much to me, and it filled my heart so much to spend precious quality time with them.
- jackson + i stayed up until 11 on thursday night to watch the lunar eclipse. it was another fun space memory for him! (fun fact: when i was a kid, i dreamed of being an astronomer. so it's extra fun to share my love of all things space with my boy.)
- the blackberry ollipop is soooo good!
- everyone has an opinion. there is a think piece for everything under the sun. sometimes you can enjoy something without looking up reviews or 2,000-word essays. like what you like, away from social media.
- i bought a small notebook in april to record all the random thoughts, lists, etc. it is so silly, but it brings me so much joy! it's filled with lists + ticket stubs + to-do lists + i love it so much.
- my in-laws made me a delicious roast dinner on my birthday eve. it was delightful + the cake OH MY GOSH. heath bar poke cake is my new fav!
