:: i finished 3 books this week!
- emma m. lion, volume 5 - 5 stars!
- brighter than before - 5 stars
- yesteryear - 4 stars
:: i have so many thoughts about yesteryear. this is a polarizing book, for sure. while it definitely made me think, especially about (the lack of) biblical literacy, it mostly showed incredible bias from the author. she straight up seems to hate the traditional family. i understand critical thinking + never settling for "how it's always been done", but the way caro paints this character in the book goes beyond critique; she's just plain mean-spirited. she caricatures the christian faith from beginning to end. i'll be honest, i just really wanted to know how the story would end because the premise was so intriguing. my main question after finishing this book is: if someone online causes you such a visceral reaction, why follow them? just block + move on with your life.
:: jared + i watched project hail mary in theaters + AMAZE AMAZE AMAZE 🚀 ✨
:: you know you're from the midwest when a tornado warning goes off while you're shopping for plants + you look at the radar (jared: "oh, it's not close") + go back to shopping. 😂
:: the last photo is not snow; it's HAIL. 🤯 (it also ruined those plants we bought from lowe's, but oh well!)
