:: the trees are starting to bloom + my heart is so happy 🥺🌸
:: jared taught jackson how to mow the yard this week + it made me oddly emotional. he's just growing up so fast. TOO FAST.
:: we had a situation with our income tax filing (something we've been dealing with for the last year, good grief) and we received a letter in the mail saying we owed a lot of money. i had two options: worry + stress myself out or give it to the Lord. i chose the later. i stood in our bathroom on tuesday night -- fear threatening to overtake my mind -- and i said to the Lord, "i know You are already taking care of this. i am going to get a good night's sleep because i am that confident in You." and the next day, it was resolved! the last six weeks of our lives has been a whirlwind, but this i know to be true: He is faithful + He is with us.
:: i made a bean salad this week + it was a hit!
:: i also made homemade chocolate chip cookies + jared told me they were like cookies from a bakery. it was the highest of compliments!
