my goal for 2025 was to read 20 books. i am happy to share that i read 27!
after an abysmal reading year in 2024, i was determined to read more books! it less about the number of books, and more about getting back into books + reading + putting my phone down. i accomplished that goal + read some really good books!
this book. 🥺 what a beautiful story. i loved the characters, especially tova + marcellus. i shed tears because it was just so good and the ending gave me alllllll the feels!
i read the first two books of this series and immediately fell in love! this is not my normal genre of books, so please know this says a lot about the series. it's witty, hilarious, and sometimes i am laughing so hard in my car, i'm sure i look like a lunatic. i love this series so much i have purchased this mug + this sweatshirt!
hauntingly beautiful is the best way to describe this book. it had just enough mystery to keep me hooked and was a unique storyline.
i laughed a dozen times. i cried a few times. there was one line about Jesus that made me cringe + there was more language than i expected, but the humor + the message of the book was so eye-opening + wild!
this was my first middle-grade novel. it was so good! there are themes of christianity woven throughout and i really loved this one! it is part of a series, so i cannot wait to read the next one.
if you've been here long enough, you know one tree hill was one of my favorite tv shows, so it comes as no surprise that i read this book. it was also talked about a lot, so of course i had to see for myself! it was . . . a crazy story. bethany joy lentz was basically in a cult, while also on a cult tv show. i listened to this on audio, which she narrates and i binged it in just a few days.
