BEST ADVENTURE/TRAVEL/TRIP: our christmas in oklahoma with my family! we ate dinner at texas roadhouse and then drove around the most epic neighborhood in tulsa + looked at christmas lights. we tried summer moon coffee. we exchanged gifts + played fun games + made the sweetest memories. ❤️
BEST KIDDO MILESTONE: jackson: he made the decision to be baptized! thank You, Lord! june: sleeping through the night (BLESS).
BEST FAITH GROWER: the late summer months were hard. june was not sleeping well at all + i was stressed out + it was all a perfect storm. after weeks of pure chaos, i felt the Lord nudge my heart on a wednesday night at oneighty. i didn't have to live that way. yes, the extreme lack of sleep was hard, but the other stuff? i could lay it at His feet + rest in knowing He is in control. after that night, my joy returned. it was as though a blindfold had been taken off my eyes. i'm so thankful we serve a God who doesn't just leave us in our messes, but invites us to lay it all down for Him to take on. this has been a year full of surrender.

BEST TREND YOU TRIED: wide-leg jeans. the millennial in me is slightly conflicted, but i purchased a pair of these old navy jeans, and they are so comfortable! i also purchased a pair of skinny jeans at the same time, so i'm not totally forgetting my roots. 😂

BEST NEW RECIPE: this is not a recipe, but my hyper fixation lunch: quest protein chips + a small cup of good culture cottage cheese. it's filling + 38 grams of protein! honorable mention: this individual strawberry crumble.
BEST MAMA MOMENT: jackson's baptism! 🥺 i have prayed for this since he was in my womb-- to follow Jesus + live out his faith. he asked a lot of questions + one night, he said he was ready to be baptized! i cried + thanked the Lord for His goodness. (june’s best moment: sleeping through the night. 😂)
BEST HOME IMPROVEMENT: we were discussing a move at the beginning of the year. nothing serious, but the conversation has turned from if to when. it's amazing how the Lord has provided a way for us to afford a bigger home! we started working on getting the house ready to sell (and we already have buyers!) and every inch of this home has been decluttered + cleaned.
BEST LIFE OR MOM HACK: romanticize your life! make the simple, everyday things something special. i savor my morning coffee. jared + i get coffees to go when we go grocery shopping. (a lot of my romanticization involves coffee 😂). this simple act breeds contentment.
BEST NEW TRADITION: going to the movies in our comfy clothes. the boys + i did this one time and decided it was a must for our movie-going adventures!
BEST LITTLE LUXURY YOU'VE ENJOYED: the rhode lip peptide treatment. yes, it was twenty dollars, but i feel bougie + it is actually good!

• caddo lake -- this might be my fav movie of the year! the twist was so good + i thought about this movie for dayyyyys.
• jurassic world rebirth -- the movie was okay, but the reason it's a favorite is because of the memories we made. we took jackie to the theater to watch this. we had so much fun eating lunch there + wearing our comfy clothes!
• the fantastic 4: first steps -- another movie we watched in theaters with jack! after watching the last FF movie years ago, i expected this one to be really bad, but it surprised me with a good story line + decent acting.

BEST DATE: this marks the 3rd year in a row, but our christmas shopping date! it's normally an evening that falls a couple weeks before christmas, but it spontaneously ended up being black friday this year. we ate brunch at the easy egg + shopped all afternoon for the kids' presents. june was with us, but it was such a fun day with my love.
BEST FAMILY MEMORY: a coffee date after a birthday dinner. it was impromptu + so fun to just sit and chat while sipping coffee!
