if i had to choose one word for this christmas, it would be COZY ✨
i awoke at 4:30 to pump + nurse june. at 6:00am, i heard a scurry of excitement + jackson popped into our bedroom with a big smile + epic bed head. (his shaggy hair is so cute!) he said he was too excited to sleep, and we asked him to wait just a little longer.
i woke up two hours later, after some of the best sleep in days! (june is sleeping longer stretches, but i have developed a bit of insomnia the last few days.)
in our matching jammies, we watched jackson open his gifts. in all the videos i took, you can hear my pumps in the background, which is just a sign of this season of life + it will make me smile for years to come, i’m sure.
after all the presents were opened, i made cinnamon rolls + we sipped coffee in our new mugs.
the boys headed over to my in-laws for lunch. since june is still little, we skipped it this year, but had a small dinner with jared’s parents on christmas eve.
when they returned, my BIL helped jackson set up his new drum set. i worked on some of my end-of-year blog posts + watched the chiefs game.
the boys headed next door for dinner + jared brought me a plate of my favorite: cheesy potatoes. 🥰
jared made coffee + we watched “surviving christmas”. it was a cute movie + june slept in my arms the whole time.
it was a sweet christmas + i am so grateful for Jesus.
