+ i finished my final book of the year + it was a very, very surprising 5-star read! the mystery guest by nita prose was gifted to me by netgalley. i had the lowest of low hopes for this book because -- to be frank -- i hated the ending of the first book of this series. the writing was good + the story kept me engaged, but i could not get on board with the morally corrupt choices of the plot twists. BUT. the mystery guest was perfect-- exceeding every low expectation i had!
+ i had another bacon burger this week— this time from texas roadhouse. it was underwhelming, but their fries were very good!
