DELIGHT was my word for the autumn season.
after a long summer of little sleep + a lot of challenges in work and ministry, the coming of autumn felt like a warm hug. the tension in my shoulders and jaw and mind were eased. all praise goes to the Lord for helping me in that season. growth is not always easy, but always worth it if you let the Lord teach you.
getting more sleep + reframing my mindset meant i was back to romanticizing all the little delights in my life:
• coffee in a cute mug
• neighborhood walks
• autumn foilage
• sitting by the light of the christmas tree
a thankful heart will produce a content life. i am so grateful to the Lord for His faithfulness.

REVISITING THIS QUARTER'S GOALS:
read five books -- yes, i read 6 books!
celebrate june's 1st birthday -- the theme was first chapter and i used the kids' books my mom saved from my childhood as decoration. what a sweet day! i can't believe our girl is 1!
soak in this season -- i'll admit, i was not great about this during the first part of the autumnal season, but i made up for it in the latter half. i had a sort of come-to-Jesus moment one wednesday night that really opened my eyes to how much i was living on autopilot. after that night, it truly felt like my joy had returned. the Lord is my delight + this world is full of His gifts -- we just have to put down our phones to see it.
sunday sabbath from social media -- a much-needed + intentional practice that resets me each week.
