talk about a reading slump! i did not have much motivation to read this month. i'm slightly disheartened by popular books lately. the top three books i was excited to read over the summer were all duds for me. and while i know popular definitely does not always equal good, i was hoping at least one of them would not make me roll my eyes multiple times.
someone please tell publishers that smut + inserting the author's political views into books is just poor writing + lazy prose. what happened to good storytelling?!

O B S E R V A T I O N S
+ i feel like i have been in a perpetual style crisis since becoming a mom. for the last two months, i have been on a mission to find my style. i have watched tiktoks + studied different styles. i follow fashion bloggers who have the same body type as mine so that i can see how certain clothes look. it has been a journey, but i am finally starting to style my clothes instead of just wearing them.
+ breaking the bond of people pleasing has been at the forefront of my mind this month. it is something that has plagued me for almost the entirety of my adult life. fear of man has become greater than fear of the Lord. but praise be to God for revealing this to me recently. His grace is sufficient!
+ people who get so pressed about how/when others celebrate/decorate for the holidays should probably just get off the internet. 🤷🏼♀️
+ a good leader has a servant heart.
